- Extreme environmental temperature (very high or very low).
We must have specific care with the lips as we have it with other areas of our body, not only helping by feeding and hydrating us correctly but protecting them from extreme conditions.
Home Remedies For Dry Lips
Today, we want to give you some home remedies for dry lips that take excellent care of them without spending too much money. Since most of the products we are going to use are ingredients that we all have in our kitchen or first aid kit.
1. Honey For Dry Lips
Honey is a miraculous ingredient that will provide extra hydration to our lips.
- Apply honey in the entire labial area and wait a few seconds for it to settle or dry.
- Then spread a little Vaseline on top to strengthen the effect and let act that kind of “mask” for 20 minutes.
- Remove with warm water.
You will notice that your lips are much more hydrated and soft. Honey has healing power, so this advice is especially recommended for wounded or cut lips.
2. Avocado For Dry Lips
Its great content of vitamins A and C makes it a special ingredient to care for cut, infected or dry lips. It also has high-fat content in its pulp, which helps the hydration of these.
- Make a lip mask with avocado pulp and seven drops of olive oil.
- Apply it for 20 minutes and remove it with warm water.
3. Aloe Vera For Dry Lips
Aloe vera is the ingredient with more healing and moisturizing properties for our skin. Evidently, for the lips it was not going to be the less, because it makes it indispensable as a treatment for parched, cracked or cut lips.
4. Coconut Oil For Dry Lips

5. Olive Oil For Dry Lips

8. Cucumber For Dry Lips
As we use this ingredient to moisturize the skin of the face, we can also use it for our lips. With a slice, we have more than enough. We have to rub it for a couple of minutes, and it will help us keep them soft and juicy.
9. White Wax of Bee and Almond Oil
The wax helps us to protect our skin from external factors and to cure the split lips while the almond oil gives us extra hydration. Both are another perfect “tip” to care for damaged lips.
- Add 50 grams of wax in a saucepan and heat it in a water bath.
- Once melted, introduce 50 grams of almond oil and mix until a homogeneous liquid remains.
- Let it solidify to use it as a homemade lip balm.
10. Homemade Scrub For Dry Lips
The lips, like our face and body, need to exfoliate to remove dead skin and impurities and thus restore the softness.
- Make a paste with a tablespoon of sugar and a little petroleum jelly or a spoonful of olive oil.
- Once we obtain a paste, apply it with our fingers or with a toothbrush that we do not use.
- The application should be in circles and gently so as not to damage us for about two minutes.
- Exfoliating them once a week will be more than enough to keep them healthy.
